It is hand carved out of semi-precious purple cobalt native to Zimbabwe. Since it was purchased the conditions in Zimbabwe have deteriorated drastically thus making it very hard to acquire pieces of this quality and size. It stands approx. 5 feet tall and approx. 3 feet wide. It comes with its own custom made steel pedestal that the piece securely stands on. The piece is plinthed (meaning there is a hole drilled into the bottom approx 8inches deep where it sits on a steel pin that is part of the pedestal) Once on the pedestal the piece towers any room at over 7 feet tall.
